The absolute positioning system is capable of incredible results! You can restore the 3D printing process at any time, even after a power failure, or you can pause your print job for the weekend and it will start from the exact same place on Monday.

More than 1 million positions per revolution. The result is a theoretical resolution that is greater than 0.000005 mm. This is a thousand times smaller than the size of your body cell! This is no less amazing even considering that when printing, for practical reasons, we do not use resolution greater than 1 µm.

All AM3D metal 3D printers are equipped with precision ground (Accuracy Grade C5) ball screws. For those who are hungry for more, we can install ball screws with an accuracy grade C3. For even better results, the printers can be equipped with high-precision optical rulers with an accuracy of 5 µm, 1 µm or 0.1 µm.
